Who is responsible for all this fun and fabulousness?

Weddings and events have been Adrienne’s passion for as long as she can remember. Since getting married at the age of 19, Adrienne has incorporated wedding and event planning into her life as much as possible. While growing her business administration and management career over the last 15+ years, Adrienne owned and operated Adrienne Kume Event Design & Coordinating for over 5 years and worked with a number of brides and grooms, families, and vendors, and took on the director role for the local bridal show. Adrienne’s corporate background consists of accounting, human resources, leadership and event management. She recently completed her Bachelor’s degree in Business and Organizational Leadership and is now taking her career into entrepreneurship full time.

The process of building relationships and working with people to make their dreams come true for their big day has been Adrienne’s specialty. The vision for Merrime became so crystal clear from day one. It would be the perfect place for everything Adrienne loved to come together!

Merrime begins with the most important item that a bride will chose for her special day … her dress! Adrienne and her team provide brides and bridal parties with an unforgettable experience as they put together elements for their wedding attire and special events along the way.

Adrienne is married to her high school sweetheart Eric, and they have an 11-year-old daughter Macy and an 8-year-old son Maddox. Adrienne’s extended family is heavily involved in the wedding business as well. Her father Brent is a pastor, her aunt Kris is a baker and caterer, her cousin Trina is a wedding cake designer, and her cousin Taylor is starting her career in the wedding and event-planning field.

Debra (aka Merrime Mama, or Adrienne’s mother) has shared in Adrienne’s passion for weddings and is a master organizer. Debra was also married at the age of 19 and her 1970’s wedding pictures prove she had an eye for styling weddings even then. As a young girl Debra learned to sew and made many of her own clothes over the years. When it came time to plan her wedding, Debra knew she wanted to make her own dress. She not only sewed her own wedding dress and veil, but she chose to have her bridal attendants sew their own dresses as well.

Debra has always dreamed of having a schedule that allows her to spend time with family as much as possible. She is a very involved grandma, mother and wife and makes contributing to others a priority. Debra has worked in many industries over the years, which has given her a wealth of knowledge and experience in a variety of areas. Her background includes accounting and finance, customer service, food service, retail and volunteerism. Debra loves culinary arts, travel, reading, and learning about other cultures.

Debra is married to her high school sweetheart Brent, and they have two daughters and three grandchildren.
